Using formative assessment to help develop an understanding in areas where students may need mor support. Provide students with extension opportunities to deepen abstract thought.Ā
A important component of standard 3 for me was developing lessons that caterd to each students unique learning needs. Not all my students were at the same level, this made it important to adapt and make my lessons flexible so each student could succeed. I tried to provide students with a wide array of lessons so each learner got what they needed. Some lessons were very active and high energy paced, this looked like going outside and playing an active game to learn, or a scavenger hunt that had the students moving throughout the entire school. Some lessons were more calm that incorporated a story book with a discussion after. Some lessons were taught through arts and crafts. I did my best make lessons in different context so each student could learn in a way that fit them best.
